    Description
Bells with dedicatory white marble tablet. Tablet is surmounted by a rectangular pediment, with carvings of wreath and leaves depicted in the top centre. Tablet is supported by two corbels. Dedication lettering is carved in black.. The bells are the commemorated on the plaque on the inside wall of the church. The largest bell, the tenor, was a separate gift, in memory of Capt. CGR Hibbert WMR 54805. The bells are an Ellacombe chime - rung by a line of ropes in a frame in a room below, which cause the hammers seen in a line beneath the bells to strike the brass discs. The hammers visible above the bells are linked to the clock mechanism, and chime the quarters and hours.
