    Description
    Two white tablets mounted within pink marble surrounds and each with a small, Latin cross at the top, both set within the wall to either side of a stained glass window featuring scenes from the Nativity. Each has the same heading at the top centre with the names beneath in two columns: all lettering is in black. The right hand memorial carries a further commemoration at its base.

    At Top of Both - ROLL OF HONOUR/ DORKING MEN WHO FELL/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918 Left Hand Tablet - ROYAL NAVY/ (names)/ ARMY/ (names) Right Hand Tablet- ARMY/ (names)/ COLONIAL CORPS/ (names)/ ROYAL AIR FORCE/ (names) Base of Right Hand Tablet - The Cross in the Churchyard is erected/ to the memory of those who gave their lives for us/ Their bodies are buried in peace,/ but their name liveth evermore. [The cross referred to at the base of the right hand Tablet is IWM 51782]
