    Description
    Single stepped base surmounted by a two-stage plinth with a mould-edged capstone and tapering obelisk. Incised inscription on front face of obelisk and names on two faces of upper plinth. At the front of the lower plinth is a white marble tablet with an inscription celebrating 50 years of peace in Europe. The whole memorial occupies a raised pavement area surrounded by a garden with 18 planted flowers, each flower representing a man who lost his life during various conflicts.

    2001 : The old rose bushes planted in 1921 died out during the 1970's and were subsequently replaced. 2009 : Obelisk was cleaned and the lettering repainted.
