    Latin cross atop octagonal plinth, base, and three tiered steps. Surrounded by four low walls with World War Two panels.

    6 o'clock face: FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH/ THIS CROSS WAS ERECTED BY THE/ INHABITANTS OF HAVERHILL IN/ GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THOSE WHO/ LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1919/ "Greater love hath no man than this/ that a man lay down his life for his/ friends."
