    Description
A stepped sandstone paved area with a curved low wall to the rear, in the centre of which is a Stone of Remembrance bearing the WW2 Memorial, with a blacked, incised Afghanistan Conflict memorial on the wall to its right. There is a carved dedication on the parapet above the Stone, which bears the names incised in black. The dates of the conflict are incised on the sides of the Stone. In the centre of the paved area is the WW1 memorial - a fleury Portland stone cross on an octagonal column bearing a carved dedication, mounted on stepped octagonal plinth, with the dedication on its front face and the names on the other seven faces. The raised lead lettering is painted black. In 2018 a Great War Centenary plaque was installed on the wall to the right of the steps to the memorial (WMR 98947).
