Description: A red sandstone celtic cross with wheel-head and celtic knotwork patterns carved in shallow relief on the face, and with a bronze wreath encircling the centre of the cross head. The cross stands on a wide grey freestone pedestal with sides faced with rustic grey blocks. The commemoration and names of the dead are carved in the dressed faces of the pedestal
Inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND IN THE MEMORY OF / THOSE FROM THIS BURGH WHO / FELL IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1919 / (NAMES) / REMEMBER ALSO THE MEN OF THIS BURGH / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE 1939-1945 WAR / (NAMES)
