- /The above St George's flag is dedicated to the glory of God and in loving memory of Lieut. Charles Edward Francis Egan, Royal Navy, who went down fighting in his ship, H.M.S."Ardent", in the battle of Jutland, June 1st 1916, in his 23rd year. Placed by his parents, Col. Michael Egan, commanding the A.O.C., and Mrs Egan./
