    Description
    Roll of Honour contained in four, black, bound volumes with black and white photographs of those who died in service 1914-1919, these being those who matriculated 1878-1915 and those accepted by the College 1914-1917 but who did not matriculate.
    Inscription
    Written at the start of the first volume: 'The photographs are arranged in chronological order/ according tot he years of matriculation shown in the date prefixed/ to each name, and in alphabetical order under each year./ At the end of the 4th volume will be found the photographs/ of those who were elected to Scholarships or Exhibitions or were/ accepted as Commoners, but did not matriculate. The date/ enclosed in brackets, is that of the year in which they should/ have matriculated.

    Sir Marc Armand Ruffer, the oldest Brasenose casualty, who worked for the Red Cross. He is also listed on IWM 10586.
