Description: Original skis used by Petty Officer Edgar Evans mounted onto a wooden board with an inscription plaque. Plaque has an incised inscription in black lettering. Skis displayed with framed cuttings from a publication and a copy of Edgar Evans service record.
Inscription: THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL SKIS/ USED BY PETTY OFFICER EDGAR/ EVANS WHO WAS A MEMBER OF/ THE ILL-FATED EXPEDITION TO/ THE SOUTH POLE LED BY/ CAPTAIN ROBERT FALCONER SCOTT/ ROYAL NAVY IN JANUARY 1912
