    Description
    '...names in relief... within an elaborate oak entablature, the cornice carved with a winged Victory triumphant, flanked by reeded Doric columns. Over the bronze plate is a relief scupture; lying on the field of battle is a dying bugler whose sacrifice is recognised by Victory placing the hero's wreath of laurel upon his brow. Above the capitals of the columns are small rolls that read Liberal Unionist.' - Chambers and Roulston p.71

    • 'The Ulster Reform Club Past and Present by George Chambers & William Roulston pp.12-13, 69-70, 71, 74 Published:Ulster Reform Club & Ulster Historical Foundation 2009 Belfast Includes photo. The Club was formed in 1885 by Liberals, but most members became Liberal Unionists when the party split over Home Rule in 1886. It 1982 it amalgamated with the Ulster Club (founded 1857).
