Description: The memorial garden contains a dedicatory stone plinth surmounted by a celtic cross. The dedication is incised on the front face of the plinth. Alongside the plinth is a Stone of Remembrance with three plaques attached to the front face. In front of the stone of remembrance is a flagpole and an adapted bus shelter for an entrance.
Inscription: On plinth with cross: THIS / GARDEN / WAS REDEDICATED / NOVEMBER 1995 / TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE / WHO SERVED IN W.W.1 & 2. / BY / Mrs.J.ANDERSON. M.P. / WITH PUPILS OF / HOLY TRINITY & ST JOSEPH SCHOOLS / ON THE 50th ANNIVERSARY / OF PEACE IN EUROPE / WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. // On stone of remembrance, 1st plaque: IN MEMORY OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF STACKSTEADS / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN TWO WORLD WARS / Their name liveth for evermore // 2nd plaque: 1914-1918 / (Names) // 3rd plaque: 1939-1945 (40 Names)
