    Description
    Pale stone baptismal font in the form of an irregular octagon. The pedestal is moulded and bears an inscription at its bottom in two rows of black metal letters, commemorating a fallen WW1 soldier. The main body is divided into twelve panels by sculpted batons bearing decorative circles. The upper body has twelve tesserated panels, the front two bearing images of religious figures against gilded backgrounds. The basin has a wooden cover with brass fittings.

    TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND TO THE LOVED AND HONOURED MEMORY OF ERIC CHARLES HALSEY/ 2ND LIEUT 7TH LONDON REGT KILLED IN ACTION IN FRANCE JUNE 20TH 1917. THIS FONT IS GIVEN BY HIS DEVOTED PARENTS.
