Memorial Details

Type of Memorial: Composite
WMR Reference Number: 64626
Description: Sloping stone wall with four slate tablets set within the front face. These are inscribed with white lettering. There is a slate tablet below these on the base of the wall with a dedication in gold lettering. In front of the wall is a curved flower bed made of brick, similar to those used around the memorial perimeter, all of which is enclosed within a metal railing. On the front of the railing is an additional plaque, with the images of two servicemen flanking the inscription of the poem In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, all in white. Behind the railing is a flagpole, flying the Union flag.
