    A 1922 extension that forms the West end of the school chapel: a white, marble tablet commemorates the extension and the names of the WW1 and WW2 dead are engraved into the walls.

    Tablet - THIS CHAPEL WAS ENLARGED/ AND THIS ANTECHAPEL ADDED/ IN 1920-22 IN LOVING MEMORY/ OF THOSE SHIRBURNIANS/ WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1918/ NOR LOVE THY LIFE NOR HATE BUT WHAT THOU LIV'ST/ LIVE WELL, HOW LONG OR SHORT PERMIT TO HEAVEN.
