Description: Circular single stepped base surmounted by two-stepped plinth and obelisk. Inscription on plaques attached to two sides of the pedestal. Columns support a ledge above the upper plinth. Sword of sacrifice at the top of the front face of the obelisk.
Inscription: 6 o'clock face: EIN/ GOGONEDDUS/ FEIRWON/ TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF PONTARDAWE/ AND DISTRICT WHO LAID/ DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR US/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919/ (Names) 3 o'clock face: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF PONTARDAWE/ AND DISTRICT WHO LAID/ DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR US/ IN WORLD WAR II/ 1939 - 1945/ (Names)
