    Description
    Bronze statue of winged victory, bearing laurel wreath and sword, standing on orb. Statue on tall plinth bearing name plaques. Enclosed by railings with scrolled panels. Reliefs of laurels to base. In June 2018 a small plaque was been added to the base of the memorial dedicated to over 140 WW1 names that had been omitted.

Front face additional plaque: IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE/ OF THOSE MEMBERS OF/ THE ARMED FORCES/ AND CIVILIANS WHO/ GAVE THEIR LIVES DURING/ THE SECOND WORLD WAR/ AND SUBSEQUENT CONFLICTS/ ERECTED IN 2005 BY/ GRANGETOWN LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY/ IN PARTNERSHIP WITH/ MOSSFORDS OF CARDIFF & CARDIFF COUNTY COUNCIL June 2018 Plaque: "REMEMBERING MORE THAN 140 MEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED IN WORLD WAR ONE AND NOT INCLUDED ON THIS MEMORIAL".

    Maintenance History
    November 2000: a plaque was added commemorating Pte W T Laugharne. September 2005: a plaque, donated by Messrs Mossfords, was added to remember those who died in WW2. The dedication was organised by the Grangetown Historical Society.
