    Description
    An old carved chest converted into a glass topped display case, and supported on a low table. Held within the case is a white leather bound photographic Roll of Honour of Honour. Originally just for WW1, one of the preface pages contains a list of those lost in WW2. Currently of the 27 WW1 names on the Roll of Honour, only 24 have dedicated pages.

Unto us you left/ The memory of your love to glorify/ The land for which you died. These gentle woods/ And quiet English hills were dear to you/ And hold a deeper tenderness for us/ Because you loved them . . ./ By your great love we vow/ Our service in the cause of peace, and lay/ The bond before you to be purified/ That, by your death, our quest be sanctified./ M.
