    Stone cenotaph, indented at corners, with reliefs of laurel wreaths at top of each face. WW2 names on additonal stones, set at 45 degrees to cenotaph. Whole set within paved area , back from the road.

    Maintenance History
    In 2005, War Memorials Trust gave £250 towards installing metal railings around the memorial and designed to support an arch. The arch were originally located outside Bethseda chapel, erected after World War I. Following the sale of the chapel the local branch of the Royal British Legion stored the railings until they could be erected by the memorial. The lettering on the arch of the railings reads: "Er cof am y milwyr" which translates as In memory of the soldiers

    • Western Mail - Monday 12 June 1922 -GIFTS TO BETHESDA. -Lord Penrhyn has presented two plots of land to Bethesda -- one for the erection of the war memorial, and the other to be utilised for a pleasure ground.
