    Description
    A white marble life sized statue of an advancing soldier in a Brodie helmet, holding a raised rifle. Stands on a square granite pedestal with foliate carving around the architrave, on a two-tier base with two concrete steps. The names of the dead are inscribed on all four faces of the pedestal and on three faces of the lower base.

    Reasons for listing from Historic England website: Historic interest: * as an eloquent witness to the tragic impact of world events on the local community, and the sacrifice it made in conflicts of the C20; * the memorial is unusual for the inclusion of the nine civilians killed by enemy action in Silksworth; * the inclusion of the names of two sailors killed, during the Milford Haven or Landing Craft Disaster of April 1943. Architectural interest: * a well-executed and dignified figurative memorial in white marble, employing good quality design, craftsmanship and materials.
