Description: Celtic cross set on a tapering shaft, plinth and base. The inscription is on the 6 o'clock shaft of the cross in black lettering. WW1 names on face of plinth below with WW2 on a separate tablet at the base.
Inscription: Shaft of Cross - TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN HONOURED MEMORY/ OF TOWNSHEND LADS/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919. Plinth - (WW1 Names)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE. Tablet - GREAT WAR 1939 - 1945/ (WW2 Names)
