A stone pillar, surmounted by a hemispheric disk. The pillar has scrolls on its four faces, each one carrying details of over 100 fallen on metal effect plaques. The hemispheric disk has a copper metal effect, with a band separating the upper and lower halves of the disk – the disk represents in the lower half, the dish that holds an eternal flame; the upper half represents sunlight reflecting onto the names. Surrounding the pillar on three sides is a curved polished granite wall, with three engraved plaques in place representing in order from left to right, Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force. The following is inscribed in gold lettering on the curved polished granite wall. There is chrome handrail surmounting the curved wall, with stone steps and a stone wall behind. At the foot of the pillar is a polished granite stepped base for placement of wreaths and tributes. The boundary wall extends to the right and left of Memorial area and is itself boarded.
