Inscription: Sacred to the memory of George PICKERING who died Decr 13th 1914 aged 66 years also Mary beloved wife of the above who died March 13th 1919 aged 66 years sorrow vanquished labour ended Jordan passed also Pte Samuel PICKERING 8th York's Regt dearly loved and only son of the above who died in the 11th Stationary Hospital Rouen France April 27th 1918 aged 37 years and was interred in the St Sever Cemetery "out of the stress of the doing into the peace of the done" also Louisa Ann beloved daughter of the above who died March 8th 1919 aged 33 years with Christ which is far better also Alice Maud dearly loved daughter of the above who died July 14th 1934 resting where no shadows fall also Mary dearly loved daughter of the above who died Feby 14th 1942 at rest
