    Celtic cross mounted on a square base. Memorial to Belgian soldiers who died in Clandon Park Hospital in WW1 - see also WMR #68737. Names of two Belgians on cross and also nine British soldiers who were buried elsewhere. Also a civilian accountant who worked at the hospital.

DE /BLESSURES RECUES / DANS LES COMBATS / PRES D'ANVERS / FRANCOIS CHISLAIN / SOLDAT DE 1ER REGIMENT / DE CARABINIERS DE / L'ARMEE BELGE. MORT / LE 24 OCTOBRE 1914 / AGE DE 28 ANS. DE / BLESSURES RECUES / DANS LES COMBATS / PRES D'ANVERS / JOHN LEWIS DUCKWORTH, DIED DECEMBER 7, 1914, AGE 67. ALFRED HOLLOWAY, PRIVATE, 7TH DRAGOON GUARDS, APRIL 10, 1915, AGE 21. ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DIED AT CLANDON PARK HOSPITAL DURING THE WAR, AND WHO ARE INTERRED NEAR THIS SPOT." ... Transcription was incomplete so completed using other ones that were found.
