    Description
Mahogany triptych with hinged doors, with a pediment above the centre panel and shelf below it. Centre panel is recessed with a carved figure of Christ crucified. The names of parishioners who served are on the left and right side panels. (The engraved brass plaque that sits above the shelf in the central panel is a much later addition, having been added to the Board in 1999).
    Inscription
(left door of the triptych reads): ROLL OF HONOUR/ (32 NAMES)/ FROM THE ENEMY DEFEND/ THEM O LORD, AND IN THE/ HOUR OF PERIL SUCCOUR THEM. (right door of the triptych reads): ST BOTOLPH'S LONGTHORPE/ (31 NAMES)/ REST ETERNAL GRANT UNTO THEM/ O LORD AND LET LIGHT PERPETUAL/ SHINE UPON THEM. (Brass plaque that was added to the triptych in 1999 reads): REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 1999/ IN MEMORY OF THOSE FROM THIS PARISH/ WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ IN THE CONFLICTS OF THIS CENTURY.

    Additional Information
Created to commemorate parishioners who served in WW1, most of whom survived. Nine of the men named upon it actually died but only 3 are annotated as such on the board.
    Maintenance History
In November 1999 a brass plaque was added to the triptych. Unfortunately, the wording of that brass plaque misleadingly now infers that the triptych relates to every 20th Century conflict (rather than its true original purpose as purely the Parish's First World War Roll of Honour); the plaque also misleadingly infers that all 63 men named upon the triptych died as a consequence of their military service (whereas in fact only 9 of them died and the remainder survived)./ In 1920 the triptych was erected.
