- Two tiered stone cairn surmounted by a circular stone bearing Combined Operations badge and dedication which is crudely painted. There is also an information board with a photographic montage of life at the shore base [or 'stone frigate'] HMS Armadillo
- Inscription
- Stone: RN/COMMANDO/UNITED WE CONQUER With Combined Operations badge in centre. Information Board: R. N. Commando Association shield at top, surrounded by twelve photographs. H.M.S. ARMADILLO / This site was the training ground of the ROYAL NAVAL COMMANDO during the Second World War. / Units trained here took part in Assault Landings and spearhheaded every / Allied invasion during the war from Dieppe, the Mediterranean, / Burma and the Far East to Normandy.
