- On a low kerb surrounding the grave space , a family commemoration set horizontally along one side of the kerb , contructed from cast lead letters
- Inscription
- IN LOVING MEMORY OF JAMES SIMMONDS DIED ?? APRIL 1918/ALSO OF HIS SON ALBERT KILLED IN ACTION IN FRANCE 23RD APRIL 1917/ nb it is likely that the date of death is stated incorrectly and should be 28th April 1918 - see name entry )
