    Description
    Cornish granite Celtic cross mounted on a cubic base with two steps. On the cross shaft there is a crusader's sword in relief, on face 1 of the base the inscription is incised and picked out in black. At the front of the bottom step is a flower holder with the years of the First and Second World Wars on the front face. The brick pillars supporting either side of the iron lattice work entrance gates have also got the wars years incised on the capstones. Iron railings surround the back and both sides, and have numerous flower holders on them, rose bushes surround all sides of the fence.

    Base: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THIS TOWN/ WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918./ THEIR NAMES ARE INSCRIBED ON/ A TABLET IN THE CHURCH.
