Description: Within the Carisbrooke Castle Chapel and either side of the bust of Charles 1 are fourteen stone panels , with a trefoil shape at top , inset into the chapel wall . Each is longer about the vertical axis and the names are incised in capitals and coloured in gold . The dedication is at the head of the first panel . Panels of a similar style in the same location contain the names of the Isle of Wight County Memorial (see #21732) . There is a second memorial to the Isle of Wight Rifles in the Drill Hall Newport . (see #40740)
