Description: A tall sandstone headstone, removed from, and leaning behind, its base. The scrolled top bears a carving of the subject's regimental badge, flanked by lilies. The pilasters are carved roses above carved columns. The inscription is leaded, and has been painted black - now fading.
Inscription: Sacred to the Memory of/ Harold Edgar Hodson/ Sergeant 2-10th Battalion/ Middlesex Regt., who was/ Killed at Gaza, Palestine,/ April 19th 1917, and Buried/ with his Comrades on/ Sampson's Ridge, Aged 27./ ....
