    Stone Cross. Wilmot and Carter Coats of Arms on the east face of the base. Two small figures flank the cross and the Virgin Mary holding the infant Jesus is on the rear.

    Front Face: THIS CROSS IS ERECTED BY HELEN CARTER/TO THE DEAR MEMORY OF HER HUSBAND/MAJOR HERBERT AUSTIN CARTER V.C./THE 101ST GRENADIERS INDIAN ARMY WHO DIED JAN 13TH 1916/ON ACTIVE SERVICE IN/BRITISH EAST AFRICA/AND IN HONOUR OF THOSE OF THIS PARISH/WHO COUNTING NO COST TOO GREAT GAVE THEIR LIVES/FOR KING AND COUNTRY/IN THE GREAT WAR AND IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR/WE HAVE NO GLORY GREAT ENOUGH FOR YOU/THIS LAND INVIOLATE THEY ARE MOURNED PROUDLY/(Names)/1939 - 1945.
