Alloa Burgh Police existed as a separate force from 1854 to 1930, when it was absorbed into Clackmannanshire Constabulary. In 1949 that force merged with Stirling Constabulary to become the Stirling and Clackmannanshire Constabulary, which became Central Scotland Police in 1975. In 2013 that in turn became part of Police Scotland, which is now custodian of the Alloa Burgh Police WW1 Memorial.
