- Lewisham Journal 31 December 1915 reported: 'Lee Police Roll of Honour. An artistically illuminated roll of honour, the work of Detective Fripp, has been placed in Lee-road police station. It contains the names of 51 men from the Lee sub-division who are serving with the Forces. Of these 24 were attached to the Lee-road station and, with the exception of seven, are now at the front. The Eltham station is represented by a list of 13, and Shooters-hill 14. One of the latter was lost with H.M.S. Hawke. Several of the men have been wounded, and a Lee-road policeman has been a prisoner in Germany since August, 1914. The sub-divisional record is one to be proud of'.
