Inscription: To the Glory of GOD and / in loving memory of the Revd. / John Percy Fitzherbert Adams / son of Col. & Mrs Herbert Adams / Curate of the Cathedral St. John's / Newfoundland Lieut. Durham L.I. / attached to R.F.C. killed in action / near Poperinghe Oct. 14th.. 1917. / "Hereby perceive we the love of / God because He laid down His / life for us and we ought to lay / down our lives for the brethren."
