Description: A large brass, wall mounted, plague depicting the names of villagers or worshippers of the Parish Laverstock and Ford who laid down their lives during the WWI and WWII. The memorial has two areas; one from WWI, the other with additional names from WWI and names of of personnel from WWII. The plaques have a black indented border. The names depicted are also indented in black.
Inscription: The top plaque reads: TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THE FOLLOWING OFFICERS & MEN,/ WHO WERE VILLAGERS/ OR WORSHIPPERS IN THIS CHURCH,/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 TO 1919. (NAMES) "Greater love hath no man than this, that/ a man lay down his life for his friends." "Think of me sometimes when the red sun/ is setting in the west./ Think of me then and know what is is best." (NAMES) The bottom plaque reads: 1939-1945 (NAMES)
