    Description
    Wall with mounted WW1 plaque, on elevated roadside platform reached by three steps. There is a stone WW1 dedication tablet and a bronze panel for the names WW2 plaque mounted at centre of top step on angled face of stone block. The names are inscribed on a wall of 3 panels of stone. There is also a small stone about the location of the WW2 Roll of Honour. Low wall along steps and surrounded by memorial garden.

    1939-1945/ GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE AND THANKSGIVING/ DEDICATED BY THE LORD BISHOP OF CHESTER/ THE RT REV D.H.CRICK D.D. F.S.A/ 26TH JULY 1950/ WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM Dedication Tablet-THIS MEMORIAL/WAS DEDICATED BY/ GORDON,/BISHOP OF STOCKPORT/4th OCTOBER 1969/LEST WE FORGET/ The plaque bearing the names of the men from Wilmslow who laid down their lives in the/ Great War (1914-1919) was transferred from the original Cenotaph erected at Little/ Lindow, Wilmslow. WW1 names Plaque-[names in 3 columns]. Above the plaque is a stone which reads-1914-1918 WW2 ROH Stone-1939-45/ROLL OF HONOUR/IS LOCATED IN/ST BARTHOLOMEW'S CHURCH WW2 wall- Panel 1- [NAMES] Panel 2- 1939-1945/[NAMES] Panel 3- [NAMES]
