    Previous Location(s)

Main Road In Front Of Spinney, Styal, Macclesfield, Cheshire, England

    Year of move

    July 2002

    Reason for move

The memorial was deemed to be too close to the main road which made holding the Annual Service of Remembrance there very difficult. A vehicle also caused accidental damage to the memorial in 2001. Therefore, a project committee was created and funds were raised to move the memorial 4-5 metres backwards into an area which is owned by the National Trust.
