    Description
A light oak table on the surface of which is a glazed cabinet with one of the five Books of Remembrance within it and shown open. The other four books are placed, closed, in front of the cabinet. Each of these four books is hardback and covered in blue cloth with gold blocked titles. The cover lettering shows that the contents of the books are in alphabetical order and sample pages show that they contain detailed, printed biographies, including images, of Old Bedfordians who died in WW1. The book shown open in the cabinet is of a different type and on the one page visible has a monochrome photograph of one Old Bedfordian in military uniform accompanied by handwritten details of both his school and military career. It is likely that the pages not visible are of a similar nature and index tabs show that the contents are in alphabetical order by surname.
